Additive manufacturing, or 3D printing, is the process where a three-dimensional object is created through successive layering of material by process of computer control.

The PolyPrinter 229 is a fast, high-quality 3D printer able to reliably produce objects down to 50 micron (0.05mm) resolution.

The PrintrBot Play is a medium-speed, PLA-only printer. It has the smallest build volume out of all of the FabLab's 3D printers, and can achieve a layer resolution quality similar to the Polyprinters.

The PrintrBot Simple Metal is a medium-speed, PLA-only printer. It has the median build volume out of the FabLab's 3D printers, and can achieve a layer resolution quality similar to the Polyprinters.

The uPrint SE is a commercial-quality printer with a soluble support filament.  It is capable of producing parts with hollows, overhangs, and other negative space without warping or sagging.
